George Hurst a co-founder of Kenya Breweries Ltd, was killed by an elephant during a hunting expedition in 1923. In memory of his tragic death, this famous lager beer that he had helped create was renamed 'Tusker'. Tusker Lager is brewed using the highest quality malted barley grown in the scenic Kenyan Rift Valley, Hops and Water. For many Kenyans Tusker Lager=Beer!

Keo beer is an exceptional lager-type beer, brewed from the finest malt and the choicest hops, long matured, bottled fresh and unpasteurised, to retain its natural flavour, aroma and freshness. Keo beer was awarded a Gold Medal by the Brewing Industry International Awards. The Keo Brewery was the first to be built on the island. The production of Keo Beer started early in 1951.
